Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Nia is interested in drawing the connections between forms of Black music from Detroit techno to hiphop. She is also excited to explore hiphop aesthetics and culture, from Mary J. Blige\u2019s unique style to Cam\u2019ron\u2019s famous 2002 New York Fashion Week outfit that embodies hiphop\u2019s influence over early 2000s fashion.
